Roewe N1 3G melts the chinese tradition and the english charm
How is the brand finally bought by SAIC behaving? Well the Roewe N1 3G is here to show us that despite struggles in the past, things are going better nowadays. Let's forget the battles between Nanjing Automobile and SAIC, and focus about the future of the chinese cars.

The result of this merger : the Roewe N1 3G has a mix of classic english lines dynamics and chinese proportions. The designers appointed by SAIC should be a transnational team composed of ex Rover veterans and young hungry chinese stylists. Interesting results though, the global design of the Roewe N1 3G ressembles the Soueast (a carmaker based in the south east of China hence the name). The Roewe N1 3G may set the trends for future chinese cars design.

The innovations of the Roewe N1 3G go beyond the lines, inside the car, you can expect loads of gadgets for browsing the web and other electronic devices. You have the classical 3D GPS, wireless internet connection, allowing to browse the trendy social network website, keeping the kids calm for long hauls. SAIC Motor via the Roewe N1 3G seems to address a message to the world that it will make good cars and will go its own way, not relying on its JV partners VW or GM. On question remains : will the production version look like the one shown here?
Th MG fans will follow with interest the moves of SAIC. SAIC Motor must take into account the past glory of the Longbridge brand, before selling the cars outside of China. SAIC Motor should also make a car that pleases the Chinese crowd. Do the MG fans disagree the direction SAIC has tken for the future of the Rovers?
