The cars that will be shown in Guangzhou in 2008 auto show

The Haima Hatchback with CVT

For the cars to be exhibited at the show, Haima will unveil its first Hatchback. The car took 3 years to develop. Its main feature is the CVT transmission, which is quite uncommon in the chinese market (to some extent it is also in western countries). Despite the economic slow down, Haima will plan the construction of the two additional plants in Zhengzhou and Hainan to triple its production to 450 000. this is somewhat optimistic.

New technologies at Brilliance's booth

Brilliance will show an hybrid version of its BS6. This car will save up to 35% of fuel compared o its traditional version. For the Beijing Autoshow, Brilliance has exposed a very nice estate version of the BS6. In the Paris show however, Brilliance displayed only its classic BS2, BS4, BS6 and BC3 coupé.

For the Japanese car lovers Toyota will expose 45 models !

At the Totyota booth you will see the Prius, the new Vios, the the Yaris, hot selling Camry and Corolla. Toyota promises to offer you coolness and fun.

Is China Auto Market really cooling down?

According to the following car makers which announced they were hit by the US subprime crisis, they will not show up at Guangzhou this year. The list includes : Zhengzhou Nissan Automobile Co, Chongqing Lifan Industry Group Co, Harbin Hafei Automobile Industry Group, Zotye Holding Group Chrysler LLC. Also some big suppliers also will not come for the same reasons :tire makers Michelin, Goodyear and Bridgestone won't show up!

The Guangzhou Auto show will happen from 19 to 25 November 2008.
