Chery makes new investment in Syria

Chery despite the economy slowdown is constantly setting new operations outside of China. Its presence in Middle East is not recent, and with this new investment in Syria, it will offer itself new opportunities to strngthen its positions abroad. Hmisho Economic Group (HEG) is the name of the new partner in Syria of Chery, the plant will begin to produce car with engine of 1.3 liter and 2.4 liter by end of 2009, at the rate of 30 000 / year. Syria is not a new market to Chery, which exported its first btch of cars as early as October 2001.

Chery is not the only chinese in Syria

Hmisho Trading Company, its subsidiary is also the exclusive distributor of China’s FAW Group and Changhe Auto. Greatwall also has opened 4S dealer to sell its Gwperi, the latter is welcomed warmly in Syria.
