GM to enforce cooperation with FAW

China has its plan to save its many industries, the government will give further money for the auto industry to support its research and development and exportation. General Motor is having discussion with FAW (with which it has a long partnership history and successful sales). the deal is on small commercial vehicles, which is concerned by the governement help.

Geely backed by government to buy Volvo to Ford

On its side, Geely who said not been interested by Volvo is reaffirming its interest by the swedish car maker. Ford would sell Volvo for 6.4 billions dollars. Chery, ChangAn and Dongfeng are the other potential buyers.

china not hot for hybrid vehicles

You would wonder if hybrid cars will have a bright future inChina by learning that in 2008 there were only 1000 hybrid vehicles sold which is much much more under expectation. But the Chinese cannot afford to buy more expensive car if they don't have enough incentives.
