The strongest asset of BYD resides in its potential electric cars. As a battery manufacturer, BYD can candidate to the big electric car manufacturer in the future. First came the BYD F3e, which was a prototype based on the F3, recently, BYD made the F3 DM a plugin hybrid, that means it can be fuly charged within 8 hours if plugged on a home electric plug (well problem was in China, few people have garage !). Meanwhile the engineers worked on the electric HEV version of the F6 DM first unveiled in Detroit.
BYD is now trying to sells its electric cars in Israel. The latter has all the characteristics to ease the development of an electric car market.
The planned models are the BYD E6 and a Plug-in Hybrid F6DM, which will benefit from Israel's soon-to-be installed electric charging stations network
In an economic downturn, how is the pricing impacting on the purchase of cars that are more expensive? The E6 is priced at 28 000 USD.
